Today's Announcements:
- Voluntary lunch tutoring is available Monday-Thursday on all days that I am here. Please take full advantage of this opportunity as it is a privilege and an extra resource.
- Please make sure you are taking out the following materials at the beginning of every class: ISN, pencil, math textbook, and headphones.
- The 7th grade field trip to Fiesta Lanes will be tomorrow. Check the front roster for your particular chaperone.
- Tutoring is next tomorrow from 3:45-4:45pm, the following students have mandatory tutoring. Please make sure you let your parents know head of time so that they can make transportation arrangements. A tutoring bus will be available. Any student who does not report to mandatory tutoring will have to make up day the following Friday from 3:45-5:30pm.
- Today we will be relocated to Room 312 due to MSTAR testing.

Homework:
You will need to bring these materials to class so that we can build kites tomorrow. Bring as many as you have at home and if you are lacking some of them, maybe you can ask one of your classmates to share. You may also need a tape measure or a ruler for this activity and markers to decorate your kite after.
You may also use these ideas if you would like. The kites will be smaller but it will still serve the same purpose. Remember that if you want to do this one you must have the materials available with it as well.

We will use this activity to make kites. This activity is full of geometry and hands-on learning. The more accurate your geometrical figures, the better your kite will fly.
In addition to the instructions, we will label of the sides of the kite with a permanent marker. We will label the unit measurement we used as well as the size of that measurement.
